TITLE: R&D Network Engineer
LOCATION: Altimus 16th Floor, Ashram Road, Behind Sales India, Shreyas Colony, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. 380009
WORK HOURS: 1:00PM TO 10:00PM IST (MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform industry relevant research in technological advances.
- Perform key Release Management tasks, reviewing release notes, generating reports and recommendations for new firmware/software released by Vendors.
- Build and maintain a robust Quality Assurance framework, focused on testing new software releases of onboarded products against reference designs.
- Build and maintain lab environments for key products & technologies to assist you in your objectives.
- Lead the development of technical documentation & reference designs, based on the outcome of your testing.
- Liaise directly with Vendors to support your research & development tasks.
- Due to the nature of the role, you may be expected to fulfill some of your tasks out of hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: B-Tech, CCNA Certified.
Knowledge & Experience:
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in core networking principles, with certification at the CCNP level or higher.
- Extensive experience with Fortinet Next-Generation Firewalls (NSE5 or above) and Fortinet SD-WAN or SD-Branch technologies.
- Relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
- Strong ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Solid understanding of SD-WAN and SASE concepts, with knowledge of multiple vendor solutions.
- Practical experience with VMware ESXi, Proxmox, or similar hypervisors.
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure networking principles.
- Demonstrated experience working within Agile or Scrum methodologies.
